Mr. Rigano has concentrated his practice exclusively in environmental law for over two decades. He received his bachelor’s degree in Marine and Environmental Science from Adelphi University, his Master of Science Degree in Biology from New York University and his Juris Doctor from Hofstra University School of Law. He has negotiated technical and environmental issues and has addressed complex regulatory concerns in the redevelopment of contaminated property. Mr. Rigano was counsel for the New York Power Authority where he addressed permitting and environmental issues associated with hydroelectric facilities and major transmission lines. Mr. Rigano has authored more than 40 articles and lectured extensively on a variety of environmental topics. He has also chaired over 20 environmental conferences. Mr. Rigano currently serves as Secretary of the Executive Committee and Co-Chair of the Continuing Legal Education Committee of the Environmental and Energy Law Section of the New York State Bar Association.
